Greet, introduce, thank — the retention loop

TikTok's own retention framework is four elements: Welcoming, Self-Introduction, Gratitude, and Background Music. Running them on a loop keeps new viewers from bouncing and signals an active room to the algorithm.

  1. Greet new viewers by name in the comments the moment they arrive.
  2. Re-introduce yourself every 15–20 minutes (name, what you do, your schedule) — it's an algorithm signal, not just politeness.
  3. Pair every welcome/intro with a tiny CTA (drop a heart, say where you're from).
  4. Thank gifters AND mods/loyal regulars by name — public recognition seeds more participation.
Why this works. New viewers decide in seconds whether to stay. A steady greet–introduce–thank loop turns drop-ins into participants, and the engagement spikes make the algorithm push the room.
